    Since October 2022, the Moz-Art-Zone has been offering an interdisciplinary music and art education program that arouses enthusiasm and interest among students and opens the doors of the university wide for this purpose. On November 30, 2022, the first large Christmas Carol Sing Along choir concert took place with 150 Salzburg students.

    "Co-CreART. Co-Creating Change!" nominated for the Sustainability Award 2024 
    The combination of artistic-creative and scientific-technical approaches is at the centre of the inter- and transdisciplinary project "Co-CreART. Co-Creating Change" project. Together with children and young people, the CreART Lab will be developed over the next few years, a mobile educational space with various opportunities to engage with innovative ideas and possible solutions on the topics of sustainable building and living as well as climate-friendly mobility. As one of 12 projects out of 182 submissions, "Co-CreART. Co-Creating Change" came out on top in the "Learning" category.

The university's internal Research Competition Mozarteum (RCM) took place for the 6th time in 2024 and has established itself as a fixed part of the university's annual schedule. On December 3, the best submissions were honored at the Award Ceremony with the involvement of the international RCM jury.

    The Ö1 Talent Scholarship for Visual Arts, worth €10,000, is provided by Wiener Städtischer Versicherungsverein.     From August 15 to 16, 2026, the 2026 Festival Academy, under the title FRAUEN.FESTSPIEL.PRÄSENZ*, will focus on the visibility, history, and future of female playwrights and composers at the Salzburg Festival. The two-day symposium will place pressing questions about representation, power structures, and the formation of the canon at the center of the debate.

    International Summer Academy selects 12 award winners 
    Last Saturday, after four intensive weeks under the artistic direction of Hannfried Lucke, the International Summer Academy 2024 came to a very successful end with 55 masterclasses, 13 additional courses and 66 concerts. 550 participants from 53 nations (average age 21) were guests in Salzburg. Twelve up-and-coming artists were honoured and each received 1,000 euros in prize money donated by the City of Salzburg's Cultural Fund.

    The Knowledge Transfer Centre West has set itself the goal of sustainably intensifying and professionalising knowledge transfer through joint actions and measures, tapping into exploitation potential, deepening and broadening cooperation with the economy but also with society as a whole, pursuing transdisciplinary and innovative approaches and using possible synergies to achieve these goals. The Kommunikations.Hub draws on the results of the first call for proposals "Awareness and Accompanying Measures" of the first funding period of the STC. In addition to already established measures within the terms "networking", "knowledge and technology transfer", especially the work package "innovation space" offers new projects. The further training offers - "Transfer Hubs" - designed in cooperation with the WTZ Ost offer spaces of opportunity in the thematic fields of "Post-Grad Life" and "Innovation Matters".
