Musical direction: Conducting students

2022 marks the anniversary of the death of the important German composer Heinrich Schütz. To mark the occasion, the Mozareteum University is combining two of the most important German testimonies to the commemoration of the dead.

Welcome by Rector Elisabeth Gutjahr, chamber music with students of the class of Andreas Hofmair and other close musicians* as well as short speeches and reminiscences.

Addressing and exploraing diversity and inclsion in Orff-Schulwerk. The conference aims to provide a place to discuss ideas and experiences for creating inclusive and equitable conditions for music and dance education.

The Arts of Change project connects students from all Austrian art universities and promotes their projects on the thematic complexes of art, sustainability and transformation. The touring exhibition of the project collectives will be shown at all participating universities in the winter semester 23

Location: Die Angewandte, Oskar-Kokoschka-Platz 2, 1010 Vienna, seminar room 8 - In the course of this year's Angewandte Festival, the workshop - part of the IMAGE+ research project - invites interested parties to use the digital image archive as a playful learning space for mediation on the image.

The conference would like to discuss what both historical caesurae and change meant and mean for musical actors and music, when transfer and transformation can have both negative and positive connotations and can entail corresponding consequences.

(Location: Paris-Lodron-Straße 9) On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the existence of the archive of the Mozarteum University, the doors will be opened again and, among other things, the second volume of Ilse Tiebert's Historical Aspects will be presented.

The Department of Scenography at the Mozarteum University cordially invites you to its annual work show. In addition to short films, photo galleries and installations, insights into the daily work in the studio and the various projects that have been created in the past year will be given.

Concert with readings and presentations: To mark International Holocaust Remembrance Day, music and voices that were ostracised and suppressed by the National Socialist regime will be heard until they fell silent. In & through music, the memory of this should remain alive.
