Against oblivion: when Cécile Chaminade (1857-1944) looked back on her extremely productive life of some 400 compositions two years before her death, she seemed skeptical: "I hope not to be forgotten."

From the very beginning, the 'World Exhibition' fascinated visitors with its overambitious plan to stage the 'world' and its present in a limited space in one place within six months. An endeavour that challenges the superlative in all its facets: conceptually, logistically and financially.

How did you set up the piece?

The interdisciplinary teacher training programmes in art & design and technology & design have not only been given new names, but also a new focus in terms of content.
