Christoph Lepschy

Christoph Lepschy studied literature and theater studies in Munich and Dublin. He works as a dramaturge with many renowned directors at various city and state theaters as well as in numerous international projects, including at the Schauburg Munich, the Theater Freiburg, the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus, the Staatsschauspiel Stuttgart, the Münchner Kammerspiele and the Salzburg Festival. 
Christoph Lepschy is also intensively involved with contemporary Chinese theatre. Since 2012 he has been dramaturg at the Paper Tiger Theater Studios Beijing/Berlin. Festivals, conferences, lectures and workshops, including dramaturgy and transcultural theater work, have taken Christoph Lepschy to many places in China, Hong Kong and Taipei as well as numerous European countries.  Another focus of his work is the development of international university cooperation, most recently the project "Emergency Exit" with the Budapest Freeszfe, which was awarded the Citizens' Prize of the European Parliament 2021. Various publications in specialist journals and books. He has been Chairman of the Senate of the Mozarteum University since 2019.
