Esther Hoppe was 1st concertmaster of the Munich Chamber Orchestra from 2009-2013, which she also conducted in many concerts. Since 2013 she has been teaching as professor of violin at the Mozarteum University. After a critically acclaimed recording with pianist Alasdair Beatson with works by Mozart and Stravinsky released in 2014, the sequel was released on Claves Records in early 2017 with sonatas by Mozart and Poulenc. Esther Hoppe plays on a violin by Gioffredo Cappa from 1690.
The Swiss violinist Esther Hoppe has made an international name for herself over the years as a soloist, chamber musician and teacher. After studying in Basel, Philadelphia (Curtis Institute of Music), London and Zurich, she won 1st prize at the 2002 International " Mozart Competition" in Salzburg. She then founded the Tecchler Trio, with whom she performed intensively and, among other things, won first prize at the "International ARD Competition" in Munich in 2007. 

As part of her concert career, Esther Hoppe appears at festivals in Lockenhaus, Lucerne, Davos, Gstaad, Delft, Salzburg, Prussia Cove and at the Styriarte Graz. Tours have taken her through Europe, to the USA, to Japan, with appearances in the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, the Wigmore Hall in London, the Great Hall of the Mozarteum in Salzburg, the Hercules Hall in Munich, the Great Hall of the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow, the Vienna Konzerthaus and the Konzerthaus Dortmund. Her chamber music partners include Ronald Brautigam, Christian Poltéra, Francesco Piemontesi, Clemens and Veronika Hagen, Lawrence Power, Vilde Frang, Alexander Lonquich and many others.

Esther Hoppe has appeared as a soloist with many orchestras, including the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Munich Chamber Orchestra, the Les Siécles Paris Orchestra, the German Staasphilharmonie Rheinland-Pfalz, the Basel Chamber Orchestra and the Zurich Chamber Orchestra.
