Laura Humphreys

Laura Humphreys is a choral conductor, vocal pedagogue and music educator whose work combines artistic practice with community-based music education. She is particularly committed to inclusive choral work and music projects for children and young people.

Laura Humphreys conducts the Community Choir Salzburg, which she founded, as well as the district choir Chorissima. Her artistic work has taken her to France, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Palestine and Turkey. From 2017 to 2025, she worked with the organisation Superar as a voice teacher and choir director at a primary school in Salzburg, supporting children from socially disadvantaged backgrounds through music education. Between 2018 and 2024, she was also active as a singing coach for Musikum Salzburg.

In addition to her choral and educational work, Laura has collaborated with the Salzburg Festival Opera Camp as a choral director and supports the Salzburg Bach Society as a music educator for children’s concerts. She studied vocal pedagogy and choral conducting at the Mozarteum University Salzburg and has held a teaching position in vocal performance at the Orff Institute since autumn 2025.
