Astrid Weger-Purkhart

Astrid Weger-Purkhart trained as a dance and art educator as well as a sports scientist at the Mozarteum University Salzburg, the Paris Lodron University Salzburg and the Laban Centre London. She developed the dance specialisation at the Musisches Gymnasium Salzburg and gives professional training courses in dance pedagogy for institutions including Dance and Child International, the Gesellschaft für Tanzforschung, EuroLab, tanzkunst-in-die-schule, the ImPulsTanz, the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz and Stockholm University of the Arts. She is a lecturer at the Mozarteum University Salzburg in the fields of Laban Studies, music and dance, dance pedagogy, and movement and dance analysis.
