Peter Baxrainer
Peter Baxrainer teaches at Mozarteum University Salzburg and is also active as a live and studio guitarist. His work spans a wide range of musical styles, from Renaissance music and contemporary classical music to pop, jazz, funk and hip hop. He is also a member of the art rock band Blank Manuscript, with which he develops concept albums and concert productions presented across Europe.
Born in Hallein, Peter Baxrainer works as a live and studio guitarist and as a music teacher at the Mozarteum University, at the Musikum and at the private high school St. Ursula in Salzburg. With the band Blank Manuscript, active throughout Europe, he develops concept albums and concert productions in the field of art rock and progressive rock.
While still a student (guitar, music education and mathematics) he was an active musician, with over 50 performances and TV engagements each year, including with Shakira and Michael Bublé. Commissioned compositions, film music productions and regular tours with Nena followed. In the field of classical music, he has received invitations to the Salzburg Festival, the Tyrolean Festival, the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra, the Austrian Ensemble for New Music and the Salzburg Philharmonic.
