Stefan Neuner has been a lecturer in guitar skills and jazz/pop/rock ensemble at Mozarteum University (Innsbruck Campus) since 2006, and also teaches guitar, electric guitar, ensemble and jazz theory at the Telfs Music School. Alongside his teaching, he is an active guitarist whose work spans jazz, pop, rock and music theatre.
Stefan Neuner began his musical training at the Telfs Music School, where he learnt guitar, electric guitar, piano and voice. He went on to study guitar with Maria Isabel Siewers and Robert Wolf at Mozarteum University Salzburg and with Maria Isabel Siewers at the Institute for Music Education Innsbruck, as well as voice with Christoph Rösel. During his studies, he performed with various ensembles and as a soloist with orchestras. He has attended masterclasses with Álvaro Pierri, Pavel Steidl, Abel Carlevaro and Konrad Schrenk and was a prizewinner at the International Ivor Mairants Guitar Awards in London.
Neuner performs in Austria and abroad and has contributed to numerous projects, recordings and productions with artists including Semino Rossi, Marika Lichter, The Pure and Dietz. His theatre work includes productions such as Jesus Christ Superstar and Evita at the Tiroler Landestheater, as well as collaborations with Klangspuren Schwaz.
He has released several albums and continues to work across a wide range of musical projects.
