
Franziska Wallner
MA
Franziska Wallner is a classical clarinetist and project manager. She heads the Institute for Coaching & Career and the Career Center at the University Mozarteum Salzburg, teaches self-management, and oversees the areas of KinderUNI (Children’s University) and the Artist Placement Platform. In one-on-one sessions, she supports students in dealing with challenging situations and in the application process.
Franziska Wallner completed her performance degree in clarinet at the University Mozarteum, worked for several years as an instrumental teacher, and is active as a soloist and chamber musician across genres in various concerts, orchestral and opera productions, as well as in film and media projects.
At the University Mozarteum, she leads the Institute for Coaching & Career and the Career Center, with a focus on career development, physical and mental health, entrepreneurship, and self-employment. She also oversees the areas of KinderUNI, Uni 55+, and the Artist Placement Platform. From 2020 to 2023, she worked as project manager and team leader for the interdisciplinary and inter-university project Spot On MozART.
Franziska Wallner is a board member of IG freie Musikschaffende (Association of Independent Musicians) and co-founder of the association “JEDE*RFRAU – Artistic and Feminist Impulses in Salzburg,” where she is actively involved as one of the artistic directors and as an event organizer.
For the term 2025–2029, she was elected as a member of the State Cultural Advisory Board (Landeskulturbeirat) for the State of Salzburg in the field of music.
She is currently pursuing a doctorate alongside her professional work at the Institute for Cultural Management and Gender Studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, focusing on the intersection of cultural management and professional field research.
