Call: An Unforgettable Encounter

30.09.2026
Open Call

An encounter with an outstanding individual can have a lasting impact on your entire life: a conversation, attending a rehearsal or performance, a walk, an hour spent together – a personal encounter can mean many different things. The International Society of Mozarteum University Salzburg warmly invites you to apply, setting out your reasons for wishing to have such an encounter.

It is not the format that matters, but rather directness and uniqueness. Maybe you harbour a deep longing for such an encounter?

With its international network and financial support, the Society offers its assistance to help make such wishes come true. Please describe your request in a letter of motivation and in a short video, so that the meeting can be arranged and prepared as effectively as possible.

Submissions may include, for example, individual projects such as a one-to-one Master’s consultation, a request to sit in on a rehearsal or production, a collaborative artistic initiative, or a walking and talking with a figure of your choice.

Application window:
any time between 1 October 2026 and 31 March 2027

Budget:
For the successful applicant, the project costs will be covered in full by The International Society of Mozarteum University Salzburg.

Eligibility:
Full-time students at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg enrolled on Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD programmes in any discipline are eligible to apply.

  • Letter of motivation
  • Short video (max. 2 minutes)
  • CV, including details of your artistic path
  • Proof of health and accident insurance

Applications will be assessed on the basis of feasibility and quality; the encounter is intended to take place during the 2026/2027 academic year where possible, but no later than the end of 2027.

The details of the meeting will be agreed with you in a face-to-face discussion; a brief documentation of the meeting is also required.

The Society accepts no guarantees or liability.
