9 ensembles awarded grants
In 2026, 21 ensembles (comprising a total of over 50 students) applied for the Mozarteum University Ensemble Scholarship – A (one-year) Start-up for Ensemble(s), and 9 of them were awarded a scholarship. In cooperation with The International Society of Mozarteum University, a total of €30,000 is being made available to students and graduates of the Mozarteum University in Salzburg.
The scholarships were formally presented by Rector Constanze Wimmer at the public presentation on 9 May 2026 in the Kleine Studio.
Nine ensembles from the fields of early music, contemporary music, song duos (piano and voice), chamber music, drama/theatre, string and plucked instruments, voice, and wind and percussion instruments will receive a significant boost to the promotion and further development of their musical work through this scholarship.
