The Armand & Nicky Delvaux Foundation, under the patronage of the Fondation de Luxembourg, is awarding a grant of €20,000 for the 2026/27 academic year to a music student at the Mozarteum University Salzburg, with the option to extend the funding for the following academic year (2027/28).

Who is eligible?

The grant is awarded to a financially disadvantaged full-time music student with an outstanding academic record who is enrolled in a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD programme at the Mozarteum University Salzburg.


Amount of the bursary

The grant holder will receive €20,000 for the 2026/27 academic year, with the option to extend or renew the grant for the following academic year, provided that outstanding academic achievement and financial need can be demonstrated again at the end of the 2026/27 academic year. The grant will be paid out by the Mozarteum University Salzburg in twelve monthly instalments.


What are the eligibility criteria?

  • Proof of excellent academic performance must be provided
  • Proof of financial need must be provided
  • The grant applicant is not yet in their final year of study and is not a graduate


Application & Deadlines

The Departments for Keyboard Instruments, Strings, Wind and Percussion, Voice, and Early Music are invited to nominate students who meet the criteria for the grant.

Applications, accompanied by the required supporting documents, may be submitted by all department heads between 1 and 15 June 2026 to rektorin@moz.ac.at

The Rectorate will select the most suitable student for the grant from all applications. 

The grant applicant must prepare a compelling application dossier in English that meets the criteria, to be submitted to the Fondation de Luxembourg by 30 June 2026. The preparation of the dossier must be coordinated with the External Relations Office, which will submit it to the Foundation.
