During an Advent service held by the University Parish/KHG at the Kollegienkirche, the members of the Mozarteum uniChor, conducted by Jörn Andresen, not only provided musical reflection but sent a powerful message of solidarity: a total of €1,453 was raised for the AAI Relief Fund for international students in need. The amount was officially handed over to the Afro-Asian Institute (AAI) Salzburg on 10th March 2026.

The AAI Relief Fund supports international students from non-EU countries who, through no fault of their own, find themselves in acute financial distress—for example, due to job loss, illness, family crises, or political crises. This emergency assistance is provided quickly, directly, and with a minimum of red tape, so that those affected can continue their studies and manage their daily lives. In addition, the AAI offers comprehensive counselling and support during challenging life situations.

This donation from Mozarteum students comes at a time in which the need for support is growing steadily. In order to ensure the long-term functioning of relief fund, the AAI is currenlty conducting a crowdfunding campaign. It is also possible to make a direct donation to the relief fund at any time - Reference: "Spende AAI‑Hilfsfonds", Afro-Asiatisches Institut, IBAN AT14 1953 0001 0030 1011. Your donation will provide support for international students in difficult circumstances. Every contribution counts, and every donation helps.
