    Seit 2021 findet im Rahmen der renommierten Accademia Musicale Chigiana die Barocke Sommerakademie des Departments Alte Musik der Universität Mozarteum in der Stadt Siena in Italien statt. Die Zusammenarbeit mit der Chigiana-Stiftung von Siena ermöglicht den Unterricht in Alter Musik in einer besonderen, von Barock und Renaissance geprägten Atmosphäre.

    Queen of the Night: An Archive of Salzburg's Club Culture
    “Archive of Ecstasy” tells the story from the perspective of people involved in Salzburg’s club culture. But what exactly is this club culture? The theatrical performance depicts intoxicating ecstasy and escapism, but also addresses closing times, unpaid labor, and the constant shortage of venues. Final projekt Applied Theatre of Sophie Leon Pellegrin.

    Final Project in Applied Theater by Salome Roithinger. Together with the audience, the performers explore the need and possibilities for change within and around a well-established community such as the traditional brass band. How do we want to wear a Dirndl? What should we do with all the marching music? Can we reclaim Salzburg's cultural traditions and reshape them into something that is relevant for us today?

    Klavierstudierende der Universität Mozarteum widmen sich dem groß angelegten Klavierzyklus „Das Jahr“, in dem Fanny Hensel die Eindrücke ihrer Italienreise in einen musikalischen Kalender voller poetischer Stimmungsbilder verwandelte. In fein nuancierten Klangfarben und charaktervollen Miniaturen entfaltet sich ein vielschichtiges Panorama der Jahreszeiten zwischen Intimität, Virtuosität und atmosphärischer Dichte. Ergänzt wird der Abend durch einen Vortrag von Beatrix Borchard.

    Spotlight on: Fanny Hensel - Orchesterkonzert
    Das Donnerstagskonzert des Mozarteumorchesters Salzburg (unter Roberto González-Monjas) präsentiert Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdys erstes Klavierkonzert op. 25 (Kyohei Sorita, Klavier), das trotz Molltonart von heiterem, südlichem Geist geprägt ist und in drei attacca verbundenen Sätze Virtuosität und Lyrik verbindet.
