    Spotlight on: Fanny Hensel - Klavierzyklus „Das Jahr“
    In her lecture “‘I think I’ve got it.’ Fanny Hensel’s Piano Cycle ‘Das Jahr’—The Story of a Discovery,” musicologist Beatrix Borchard traces the history of the creation and reception of this long-underappreciated work. Piano students from the Mozarteum University will bring to life the finely nuanced timbres and characterful miniatures in which Fanny Hensel transformed the impressions from her trip to Italy into a musical calendar full of poetic moods.

    Das Donnerstagskonzert des Mozarteumorchesters Salzburg (unter Roberto González-Monjas) präsentiert Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdys erstes Klavierkonzert op. 25 (Kyohei Sorita, Klavier), das trotz Molltonart von heiterem, südlichem Geist geprägt ist und in drei attacca verbundenen Sätze Virtuosität und Lyrik verbindet.

    Studierende der Universität Mozarteum sowie Roberto González-Monjas und Akademist*innen des Mozarteumorchester Salzburg widmen sich den klangvollen kammermusikalischen Dialogen zwischen Fanny Hensel und Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy und lassen deren stilistische Vielfalt, Ausdruckskraft und feinsinnige musikalische Verwandtschaft in Klaviertrios und Streichquartetten hörbar werden.
