The Bustling Whispers - Returning to Tower of Babel: The world has never been quiet. Because of injustice, inequality, the loss of freedom and the oppression of dictators, people have never stopped marching, demonstrating and chanting slogans. In return, the world is filled with the sound of artillery and repression, the sound of tear gas and guns. People are scattered and eventually , the lucky ones may manage to leave their countries.
To disperse, to survive, to learn a new language, to continue to speak.
By continuing to speak , we have a chance to be heard.
Whispers can be bustling if there are enough of them.
Whispers can be powerful , and silence can be loud.
“The Bustling Whispers “ tells stories through sound, where you can hear the voices of people, cities and insects. This is a collection of diaspora sounds waiting to be received by your ears.
The piece is organized in two parts: an outdoor section and a theatre section with insects as guests.
The show will be multilingual, with English as the main language and sound as the main focus.
