Florence Gautier was born in Nantes, France, and studied German at the University of Rennes II. Between 1989 and 1991 as well as 1993 and from 2002 to 2003 she worked as a language assistant for the Bundeshandelsakademie I and II in Salzburg. In 1992 she passed her Maitrise in German studies and returned to Salzburg. Since then she has been working in adult education. Among other things, she taught at Inlingua, at the Institut culturel français (Traklhaus), the Volkshochschule, at the Wifi, at the Kuchl University of Applied Sciences and at the Bad Reichenhall Adult Education Center. Since October 2018 she has been teaching French in phonetics and pronunciation at the Mozarteum University Salzburg.
