Gertrud Fischbacher and her cooperation partner Marius Schebella (FH Salzburg) were awarded with the project "Nexus of Textile and Sound" at the annual funding program of the FWF for the development and opening up of the arts (PEEK)! They won the Research Competition Mozarteum (RCM) at the end of 2019, the PEEK application, which is based on intensive local cooperation with the FH Salzburg, is a further development of the RCM project.

On October 13 and 14, 2022, the largest exhibition to date of the interdisciplinary and interinstitutional project Spot On MozART took place at the Mozarteum University - an exciting journey through 17 projects, including film premieres, interactive spaces, and a piano-playing industrial robot. The KinderUNI Salzburg returns this year during the summer holidays and is organised by the PLUS together with the University Mozarteum Salzburg for 8 to 12 year olds under the motto "Marveling together" various formats.

Associate Prof. for Historical Musicology

A total of 15 departments and 5 institutes at the Salzburg and Innsbruck locations form the research and teaching profile of the Mozarteum University in the disciplines of music, music and dance education, performing and visual arts, directing, scenography, liberal arts and interdisciplinary.

The actor Augustin Groz, who has Austrian-French roots, studied acting at the Mozarteum University and then completed a Master of Fine Arts at The New School in New York. In 2023, he received the Max Ophüls Prize for best young actor in Özgür Anil's feature film "Wer wir einmal sein wollten", which can be seen in Austrian cinemas in May and June.

The 1st prize in the piano division (Bösendorfer Prize), the "Audiodata Audience Award" and the special prize for the best interpretation of a work by Wolfgang A. Mozart went to the Austrian Elisabeth Waglechner, who studies with Stefan Vladar at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, where she was accepted into the highly gifted course with Alma Sauer at the age of 12 and studied with Christopher Hinterhuber.
