    Based on "Bernarda Alba's House," Federico García Lorca's drama that has been performed most frequently around the world to this day, the 4th year Drama and Directing class, under the direction of Anja Herden, will deal in "¡Los Bernarrrdá's!" with being trapped, hysteria, fear of life, and the longing for freedom as a primal human drive, and will tell of people who are both victims and accomplices of their own oppression.

    Federal Minister for Education, Science and Research Ao. Univ.-Prof. Dr. Martin Polaschek was a guest at the Mozarteum University on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 and congratulated students on their various engagements at the Salzburg Festival. In a conversation lasting just under an hour, the students told how their engagements came about and why the Salzburg Festival can be an important stage for the future.

    Julia Soost and Veit Vergara win animated film competition of the Konzerthaus Munich 
    At the Department of Scenography, under the direction of the filmmaker and video artist Alexander du Prel, numerous animated films have been created at the Mozarteum University. The special feature: classical animation techniques are combined with digital recording techniques, the individual images are drawn individually on paper in analog form and then digitally stitched together, so that the films retain the charm of traditional animation. There is no other university or college in the German-speaking world that still works with this technique.

    In collaboration with the artist and curator Oliver Ressler, Magdalena Hofer, a student at the University Mozarteum Salzburg, has developed an exhibition design for "Overground Resistance" at frei_raum Q21 in Vienna's MuseumsQuartier that opens up spaces.

    Christopher Lindinger is an innovation researcher, computer scientist and cultural manager. He co-founded the Futurelab at Ars Electronica in Linz and was co-director of the Media Lab until he was appointed vice rector at JKU Linz in 2019. On October 1, he took up the first professorship for art and digitality at the Mozarteum University.
