In a competition organized by Segafredo Zanetti Austria, students from the Department of Fine Arts and Design at the Mozarteum University are designing the first collection of cups for enjoying coffee at home, which will be launched when the company's own online store goes live in summer 2022.

"Image+ Platform for Open Art Education" is an Austrian image and image research platform to improve the quality of teaching. At the Department of Fine Arts & Design, students develop artistic and design positions on foundations in craft, design, art and material culture. The examination of image, object, space and media, theory and didactics prepares students for teaching in schools and extracurricular settings.

Every year around 9 June, the Art ARCHIVE Room presents archive treasures from its holdings and collections on varying themes. Visitors can admire the original documents, manuscripts, photos and other materials. Depending on the theme, there will also be lectures and musical contributions. 9 June is International Archives Day, which numerous institutions use to display their valuable archival materials. In Salzburg, the International Archives Day is celebrated in cooperation with several Salzburg archives under the lead of the Knowledge City Salzburg.

Competence in sustainability is competence for the future. Artists and educators carry a great responsibility but also have great potential for not only reflecting on social change but also contributing to it. The start of academic year 2025/2026 brings with it the start of a new elective studies block in Art & Sustainability, for which students can obtain a supplementary certificate. It offers the chance to explore the complex relationship between sustainable developments in our university and society at large, and artistic and scholarly practice.
