Tatjana Meyer

Tatjana Meyer is an accompanist and vocal coach at the Mozarteum University Salzburg. During the summer months, she works in a similar role at the Miami School Program in Salzburg, and also engages in teaching activities in the field of music history.

Tatjana Meyer was born in Kazakhstan. She began playing the piano at the age of six and, at twelve, won first prize at the XXVI Republican Piano Competition. She studied piano performance, accompaniment, Lied duo, chamber music and pedagogy at the Music Academy in Yekaterinburg (Russian Federation), graduating in 2002 with highest distinction.

She is a prizewinner of the IBLA Grand Prize International Competition in Italy (2000) and the XVII FLAME Competition in Paris (2006). She subsequently completed a master’s degree as well as a doctorate at the Mozarteum University Salzburg, graduating with distinction in both.

She works as an accompanist and vocal coach at the Mozarteum University Salzburg and in a similar capacity at the Miami School Program – held in Salzburg – during the summer months. Since 2015, she has also taught music history to tour guides at the Economic Development Institute, and is herself a state-certified tour guide, offering guided tours in German, English and Russian.
