Johanna Dumfart studied voice at the Anton Bruckner Private University in Linz, classical voice with Robert Kreutzer in Klagenfurt and Styrian harmonica, dulcimer and voice at the University Mozarteum. From 2009-2016 she taught Styrian harmonica, dulcimer and breathing technique at the Upper Austrian State Music School and from 2011-2018 voice training at the Linz Music High School. Since 2014 she has been a freelance artist, worked in elementary schools as a "Mit-allen-Sinnen" teacher and is a speaker at various folk music seminars. Since 2018 she has been a professor of Styrian harmonica at the Tyrolean State Conservatory as well as a teacher of diatonic harmonica and the associated folk music subjects at the University Mozarteum, Innsbruck location.
