Johanna Schwarz
Johanna Schwarz is an artist with international exhibition activities, studied textile design and visual education and works as a committed art and craft teacher. She has been teaching art and design as well as technology and design at various schools for several years and has been teaching at Mozarteum University Salzburg in the fields of subject didactics and textiles in the Design: Technology.Textile.
In her artistic work, she repeatedly takes up textile and craft techniques in order to realise them in an idiosyncratic way and transform them into new forms. The resulting objects can often be worn and cover and protect the human body, but they can also weigh it down and restrict its movement. In recent years, Johanna Schwarz has been working intensively with natural colours and their translation onto textile materials.
