Music, nature, and sports are the passions of horn player Sulamith Seidenberg. As a Female Artist-in-Residence at the Mozarteum University and a horn player in the Mozarteum Orchestra, she has found in Salzburg a place where she can pursue all these interests and bring them together.
Hornist Sulamith Seidenberg comes from a large family of musicians and was influenced from an early age by her siblings’ professional careers. After spending several years at the Schloss Belvedere music boarding school in Weimar, she transferred to the Berlin University of the Arts to study with Christian-Friedrich Dallmann as a young student. She gained her first orchestral experience at a young age with ensembles such as the Kammerakademie Potsdam, the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Berlin State Opera, and the Frankfurt Opera and Museum Orchestra.
Today, Sulamith Seidenberg performs as a horn player in renowned orchestras and ensembles, including the Bavarian State Opera, the Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg, various chamber orchestras in Basel, Munich, Potsdam, and Salzburg, as well as in historical and contemporary ensembles such as the Hofkapelle München and the Ensemble Reflektor.
Sulamith Seidenberg is deeply engaged with the theory of resonance founded by Thomas Lange, which opens up new perspectives on body awareness and perception and allows musicians to experience the diverse potential of sound and movement on their instruments.
