Josef Klaus Schellander
Klaus Schellander studied bass trombone (performance and pedagogy) at the Mozarteum University and at the Berlin University of the Arts. His musical career has been marked by numerous engagements at the Salzburg Festival with the ensemble Salzburger Blechbläserconsort, which he founded; he also performs regularly with the Camerata Academica Salzburg, at the Musicaltheater Neuschwanstein, and in numerous national and international ensembles and orchestras. He has performed as a soloist at home and abroad, attended further training courses in biofeedback, Alexander technique and autogenic training. He has taught trombone, ensemble playing and brass didactics at the Mozarteum University since 1990, and at the Musikum Salzburg since 1989.
