A special highlight of the program will be the in-person presentation of an honorary professorship to flutist and music educator Maria Kalesnikava, who was released from Belarusian captivity in December 2025.

Back in the fall of 2022, she had already been awarded an honorary professorship from the Mozarteum University in absentia as part of the “Practicing Care” project. This was intended to honor her commitment and dedication to social freedom and fundamental democratic values. Following her release, the honorary professorship will now be presented to her in person.
