Creative approaches to sustainable mobility and new spaces in the city: On 7 November 2025, a workshop was held at the newly opened "House of Talents" that focused on innovative mobility solutions for the city of Salzburg. Taking Salzburg's Red Cross car park as an example, participants devised plans which took in to consideration space allocation, safety, climate protection and inclusion.

Among other things, the following topics were discussed: How can art, research and technology work together to develop forward-looking solutions for sustainable mobility? How can the space freed up as a result be used as social spaces? How can innovators involve the general public in creating new solutions? And what different needs need to be taken into account?
Through artistic and creative methods such as emotional mapping and cartography, the “House of Talents” was transformed into a workshop where collaboration, critical thinking and creativity led to new proposals for the design of streets and squares in Salzburg.

The workshop was a collaboration between the initiative ‘Innovative Mobility – Salzburg bewegt’* and the project ‘Co-CreART. Co-Creating Change’ at the Mozarteum University Salzburg and took place as part of Creative City_Lab Salzburg.

Innovative Mobility – Salzburg Moves is an initiative for a cross-university innovation process aimed at developing sustainable mobility solutions for the Salzburg region.
