Guided tour of the rehearsal centre of the Salzburg Landestheater
For the work focus on Salzburg's music history, Ariane Rindle (Organisation Manager Rehearsal Centre Aigen / Ballet Company Management) gives a guided tour of the Salzburg Landestheater's rehearsal centre, concluding with a short visit to the rehearsal of the ballet ensemble under the direction of ballet director Reginaldo Oliviera.
The Salzburg Landestheater's rehearsal centre in Aigen, which opened in 2017, combines all the rehearsal rooms that were previously scattered around the city with the workshops that already existed there, so that since then, among other things, four rehearsal stages, two ballet halls, a chorus hall, a piano room, a carpentry workshop, a painting hall, a locksmith's shop, upholsterers, sculptors, an assembly hall, as well as the extensive furniture, requisites and costume collection can be found in the two buildings that merge into one another.
Not only do the drama, musical, opera, ballet and young country sections now have a joint rehearsal centre, but it will also be used regularly for events, for example for the plays "Shirley Valentine" and "Hamlet (She/Her)" or the ballet premiere "Vom Lichten und Dunklen" in the 2022/23 season.
