A young governess is supposed to take care of the upbringing of the parentless children Flora and Miles on the picture-perfect country estate of Bly. But are the little creatures really as innocent as they appear at first glance? The motif of lost innocence is central to Benjamin Britten's work, but the longed-for security is all too rare in his artistic creations. And so a nameless horror gradually unfolds before the eyes of the governess. With great musical seductiveness, Britten set Henry James' ambiguous ghost story about the downfall of security, the reign of the forbidden, and fascination with the abyss to music.
The Moz-Art-Zone offers not only the opportunity to attend dress rehearsals of "The Turn of the Screw", but also to view and walk through the stage design, as well as a conversation and workshop with the stage designers involved about spatial perception, movement in theatrical space, and possibilities for designing an effective space.
