Anton Bruckner and the Mozarteum University. A review with a look ahead to the commemorative year 2024 on Bruckner's 200th birthday.

After the Senate and the University Council of the University Mozarteum Salzburg announced the re-election of Rector Prof.in Elisabeth Gutjahr in February 2021, her team was also re-elected in May 2021. Hannfried Lucke (Vice Rector for Arts), Mario Kostal (Vice Rector for Teaching) and Anastasia Weinberger (Vice Rector for Resources) will continue to steer the fortunes of the University alongside Elisabeth Gutjahr.

Here students will find details on interlibrary loan, CITAVI and nKoda, all online catalogs, archives and collections in the disciplines of music, musicology, visual arts, dance & music education, and online libraries of other relevant institutions.

The Mozarteum University congratulates its alumna Alexandra Karastoyanova-Hermentin on receiving the Grand Art Prize of the State of Salzburg 2024! With this award, which is being presented to a female composer for the first time this year, the State of Salzburg is sending a strong signal in favour of the importance and creativity of women in music. The Grand Art Prize is endowed with 20,000 euros and is awarded annually alternately in the fields of visual arts, literature, music and performing arts.

Wolfgang Richter studied German and History at the University of Salzburg and Art Education at the Mozarteum University. As an educator, he taught as an assistant at the Mozarteum University and at a Salzburg grammar school.
