Andreas Steudtner „Welcome, Servus, Grüß Gott”

Inspired by the polyartist Bob Dylan and his approaches of appropriation and transformation, nine artistic-explorative teams of two from the Mozarteum University were on the road in South Africa, the US, Mexico, Europe and Latin America during the first half of 2022. The results are nine art projects that will be premiered on October 14 and 15 as part of Jazz & The City, accompanied by a symposium "Inspired by ... commemorating 60 Years of Bob Dylan.".

The focus is on openness and creativity in dealing with diverse forms of musical expression, research, the development of new media forms of mediation, as well as cooperation with cultural institutions in the Salzburg area and the promotion of international exchange.

In collaboration with the artist and curator Oliver Ressler, Magdalena Hofer, a student at the University Mozarteum Salzburg, has developed an exhibition design for "Overground Resistance" at frei_raum Q21 in Vienna's MuseumsQuartier that opens up spaces.

In October 2025, Mozarteum University will launch a new Master's programme in Open Arts that is unique in Austria. Where art and design meet education: the Department of Fine Arts & Design at the Mozarteum University Salzburg offers students an inspiring environment in which artistic and design practice, theory and teaching are combined. Paul Feigelfeld has been a university professor for digitality and cultural mediation at the Institute for Open Arts at the Mozarteum University since October.
