Senior Lecturer in Viola

For 15 years, the Mozarteum University has been cooperating with the Tyrolean State Conservatory in the field of music school teacher training. In 2021/22, the offer in Innsbruck will be expanded to include the study profile "Jazz/Pop" in the Bachelor's program IGP and the Master's program "Making Music in Diversity Contexts".

Every year, the Mozarteum University honours students majoring in violin who have shown particular talent and achievement with the Paul Roczek Award, which is endowed with 10,000 euros. The winner of the Paul Roczek Award 2023 is Andreas Siles-Mellinger.

At the 17th International Beethoven Piano Competition, organised by the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (mdw), pianist Martin Nöbauer won the 2nd prize worth a total of 12,000 euros (ex aequo with Jonas Stark) as well as the Klemens Kramert special prize worth 2,000 euros. Senior Lecturer for Italian

Following a successful masterclass and a sold-out concert with the Bläserphilharmonie Mozarteum Salzburg in March 2025, Christian Thielemann will take up a position as Professor of Orchestral Conducting at the Mozarteum University in October 2026. Violinist Lisa Batiashvili and pianist Claudio Martínez Mehner will also begin teaching in the 2026/27 academic year.
