Breaking down boundaries and barriers - Judith Valerie Engel Judith Valerie Engel is an Austrian pianist, musicologist & feminist. After years of study in Salzburg, Helsinki and Vancouver, she is currently completing a PhD in Historical Musicology at Oxford University. She is a recipient of the Stone-Mallabar Doctoral Scholarship awarded by Oxford College Christ Church. She is also one of the ‘Public Scholars’ in the Public Scholars Initiative of the University of British Columbia. Both academically and artistically, her focus is on historical and contemporary women composers.News -

Art in the age of digitality Christopher Lindinger is an innovation researcher, computer scientist and cultural manager. He co-founded the Futurelab at Ars Electronica in Linz and was co-director of the Media Lab until he was appointed vice rector at JKU Linz in 2019. On October 1, he took up the first professorship for art and digitality at the Mozarteum University.News -

ars docendi 2025 state prize for teaching excellence bernhard gwiggner The artist and art pedagogue Ao. Univ.-Prof. MMag. Bernhard Gwiggner has been awarded the 2025 Ars Docendi prize for teaching excellence by the Austrian state. The interdisciplinary cooperation "tradition2go: zwischen kultur und wahnsinn" ("between culture and madness") was a collaboration during the 2023/34 academic year between the Sculpture Class at the Mozarteum University and the Salzburg Museum. The project went hand in hand with the exhibition "Masks, Traditional Costumes, Cult Objects - 100 Years of Folk Culture" at the Salzburger Monatsschlössl Hellbrunn.News -
