Elisabeth Eder-Marböck

Elisabeth Eder - harpist, soprano and music pedagogue - is Senior Lecturer for instrumental and vocal pedagogy and vocal studies. She completed eight studies (all with distinction) and two university courses at four different universities in Austria and Great Britain. She received her doctorate sub auspiciis and the Award of Excellence (state prize) for the best dissertations in Austria for her dissertation.
Born in Salzburg, Elisabeth Eder completed her artistic, pedagogical, scientific and musicological training at Mozarteum University Salzburg, Paris Lodron University Salzburg, the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. She completed eight degrees with distinction and two continuing education university programmes. She received her doctorate sub auspiciis praesidentis, Austria’s highest academic distinction, which was personally presented by the President of Austria, and was awarded the Award of Excellence (State Prize) for Outstanding Dissertations.
As a musician, Elisabeth Eder performs as a soloist, chamber musician and with orchestras and choirs at national and international level, working across a broad range of genres from classical music to folk music and jazz/pop. Her research at Mozarteum University focuses on memorisation in music and on instrumental and vocal group teaching.
