The Chinese pianist Jingge Yan is known for his intellectual profundity and the expressive vitality of his piano performance, and he frequently performs with such ensembles as the Beethoven Orchestra Bonn, the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra, the Sinfonieorchester Aachen, Musica Viva Orchestra Moscow and the Orchestre de l'Opéra de Rouen. His debut CD with late works by Ludwig van Beethoven (Diabelli Variations and Bagatelles) was released in 2013. In 2015, he was appointed "Beethoven Ambassador" by the Beethoven-Haus Bonn and the City of Bonn, the first Chinese pianist to be honoured in this way. In addition to his busy concert schedule, Jingge Yan writes articles for the music sections and feature pages of various magazines and newspapers. He has taught piano at the Mozarteum University since 2017.
