Monika Oebelsberger
Retired university professor for music education.
Monika Oebelsberger is a former professor of music education, head of the Department of Music Education and the School of Music and Arts (SOMA) at the Mozarteum University. She published numerous publications on music education topics, was co-editor of the series: Music Education Research Austria; Objections: Salzburg texts on music - art - education. Lecturer activity at home and abroad. 2007: Fulbright visiting professor at the University of Minnesota/ Minneapolis. From 2003 to 2014 co-founder and chairwoman of the MFÖ (Music Education Research Austria), from 2005 to 2014 National Coordinator of the EAS (European Association of Music in Schools). Main research areas: historical music education, cooperative music education, comparative music education, music education and gender.
