Since the 2016/2017 academic year, the Mozarteum University has been awarding the "Prize for Excellent Master's Theses", which recognizes outstanding theses by graduates who address their chosen topics in an innovative, original, unusual or particularly sustainably relevant way.

The publication "Auf dem Weg zur Kunstuniversität: das Kunsthochschul-Organisationsgesetz von 1970" ("On the Way to the Art University: the Art University Organization Act of 1970"), which appeared in August, documents for the first time comprehensively the historical course of the development of higher education in Austria's art universities.

We are proud to announce that, after two and a half years of construction work, the Mozarteum University’s newest building, located in Schwarzstraße 36, is now complete and officially open! This exciting new space, with a surface area of 1,895m2, is dedicated to teaching, rehearsing, research, advancement and appreciation of the arts, and digital arts.

The reunion will take place at the ORFF Institute with live music and offers opportunities for info, experience and material exchange, singing and dancing together, open workshops and most importantly, seeing familiar faces again. Even those on short notice are welcome!
