    With Baroque Summer Academy as guest in Siena 
    Numerous master classes, a contemporary BaroqueLab, concerts and an opera production: The Baroque Summer Academy of the Department of Early Music of the Mozarteum University will take place for the third time in 2023 within the framework of the renowned Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Siena, Italy. A highlight in 2023 is the performance of the baroque opera "Dido & Aeneas" by H. Purcell with contemporary prologue and epilogue "Elissa" by Henry Fourès and Rector Elisabeth Gutjahr. "Elissa" was successfully premiered at the Mozarteum University in June 2023.

    "Nexus Textile and Sound" - Gertrud Fischbacher and Marius Schebella Successful in FWF PEEK Program 
    Gertrud Fischbacher and her cooperation partner Marius Schebella (FH Salzburg) were awarded with the project "Nexus of Textile and Sound" at the annual funding program of the FWF for the development and opening up of the arts (PEEK)! They won the Research Competition Mozarteum (RCM) at the end of 2019, the PEEK application, which is based on intensive local cooperation with the FH Salzburg, is a further development of the RCM project.

    Judith Rubatscher, graduate of music education at the Mozarteum Innsbruck, was awarded a research prize by the Kanda Center of the University of Innsbruck for her ethnomusicological thesis "'Singen is a part vo unsam leben.' Die aktuelle Gesangspraxis der Schmiedeleut-I-Hutterer in Manitoba" (Supervisor: Ao. Univ.-Prof. Dr. Thomas Nußbaumer). Rubatscher dealt with the musical tradition of the Hutterites, a Tyrolean Anabaptist community from the 16th century, which today is only represented in North America.
