    Modern redesign of the canteen at Mirabellplatz 1 
    Start of the redesign of the canteen of the Mozarteum University: The new canteen will be opened at the start of the semester with a well thought-out furnishing concept, regionally produced units, simple and high-quality materials and a modern character. A new name for the cafeteria is being sought through a community vote.

    German Camera Award for Editing to the short film "Idyll 
    "Idyll" is the title of a short film by Fanny Rösch, a student at the Munich University of Film and Television, made in 2022 as part of Spot On MozART in co-production with the Mozarteum University. For his montage of "Idyll," Sebastian Husak was recently awarded the Young Editors Prize at the 33rd German Camera Awards.

    New University Council of the Mozarteum University Salzburg 
    The University Council of the Mozarteum University for the functional period 2023 to 2028 is now complete. Thomas Rietschel, M.A. and Sarah Wedl-Wilson, MA (Cantab) were elected by the Senate of the Mozarteum University. The Federal Ministry of Science and Research appointed Mag.a Silvia Grünberger and Univ.-Prof.in Mag.a Dr.in Rosa Reitsamer to the board. The four nominated members elected Em. o. Univ.-Prof. Mag. Dr. Karlheinz Töchterle as the fifth member, who was also elected chairman of the collegial body in May. Rosa Reitsamer was elected as vice-chairman.

The second panel discussion of the Salzburg University Development Impulses in cooperation with the Knowledge Transfer Centre West attempted to shed light on the creative processes that precede the emergence of the new with experts from various disciplines and fields.

    On 15 March 2023, the first event in a series of events organised by Salzburg's universities in cooperation with the Wissenstransferzentrum West (Knowledge Transfer Centre West) was dedicated to a hot topic: the impact of artificial intelligence on our everyday lives. The explosive nature of the topic and the fact that the discussion has arrived in the university context and in our society was demonstrated by the full Small Studio at the Mozarteum University.

    The Mozarteum University once again cordially invites its alumni and emeriti to a drink followed by a visit to the opera! As usual, the meeting point is the foyer of the Mozarteum University in an artistic setting amidst the "allegria" exhibition by Gertrud Fischbacher and Marius Schebella. The opera programme includes a world premiere: "Elissa / Dido & Aeneas". Rector Elisabeth Gutjahr will warmly welcome you and provide insights into the production.
