Operetta transfer in the interwar period in the context of politics and popular culture: The lecture presents the export of operettas from Vienna and Berlin in the interwar period, using Stockholm as an example. Operetta productions from German-speaking countries were exported to the world's major cities as early as the 19th century; the Nazis' seizure of power in Germany changed the mechanisms of this transfer. At the same time, clever marketing strategies and cross-industry marketing cooperations contributed to a boom in popular entertainment theater in Stockholm.
