Fortepiano Festival: Chopinissimo
Edoardo Torbianelli (Basel), teachers and students play on a fortepiano copy after Conrad Graf (ca. 1830), piano works, vocal and chamber music by Frederic Chopin. The Chopin Marathon brings together rarely heard compositions by Chopin, arrangements by his musician friends (e.g. songs by Pauline Viardot on Chopin's Mazurkas), his 1st Piano Concerto with string quartet accompaniment, songs and chamber music, as well as today's well-known "highlights" such as all four ballads.
