Ruth Burmann (*1968 in Salzburg) studied music and dance education (with a focus on dance) at the University Mozarteum, and between 1993-1995 she took dance training in choreography, modern dance and dance pedagogy at the Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance (SEAD). She taught modern dance and tango argentino at the University Sports Institute and was active in Orff teacher training in Upper Austria, Salzburg and Taiwan. She taught modern dance and children's dance at SEAD and held a teaching position at music secondary schools in Pongau and Upper Austria. Since 1999 she has been an adjunct lecturer in dance at the University Mozarteum and was active at the Thomas Bernhard Institute from 1999-2008.
