The conference volume bundles the results of an ambitious symposium organized by the International Society for Polyesthetic Education in October 2007 in the newly opened premises of the University Mozarteum Salzburg. On the one hand, Wolfgang Roscher, the intellectual originator of Polyesthetic Education, was remembered with gratitude; on the other hand, the use of the new, light-flooded building, which was also challenging from an artistic point of view, was intended to set a sign of departure in the development of Polyesthetic thought in the 21st century.
