Christoph Bielefeld studied harp with Helga Storck in Munich, Catherine Michel and Julie Palloc in Zurich and with Marie-Pierre Langlamet in Berlin. Substitute engagements have taken him to orchestras such as the Berlin Philharmonic, RSO Vienna, Hamburg Philharmonic, Zurich Opera, Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich, Bamberg Symphony, Oslo Opera, Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra and the WDR Symphony Orchestra. He was a scholarship holder of the Villa Musica Chamber Music Academy, which awarded him a sponsorship prize in 2009. Numerous solo recitals and chamber concerts in a wide variety of instrumentations have taken him throughout Germany, Austria and Switzerland, to France, Belgium, Italy, Poland and South Africa. Since 2015 Christoph Bielefeld has been principal harpist in the Bruckner Orchestra Linz and since 2018 assistant to Stephen Fitzpatrick at the Mozarteum University.
