Patrick Puls lives and works as an art and cultural mediator in Vienna and Salzburg. He studied at the Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences at the University of Vienna and at the University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences in Vienna. Since 2001 he has been working as an art mediator at the Museum Moderner Kunst Stiftung Ludwig Wien, since 2008 as a certified art & culture mediator. During 2004 to 2007 he worked as a development aid worker in Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger. From 2009 to 2014 he was a lecturer at math.space in Vienna's Museumsquartier, from 2011 to 2014 he was an art mediator for the Generali Foundation, during which time the Generali Foundation worked on collaborative projects with schools and students at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna.

Since 2014, he has been a lecturer at the Department of Scenography at the University Mozarteum Salzburg with the courses "Bildbetrachtung und Bildanalyse" and "Kunstgeschichte 4". Since 2018, he has also been working as an art and culture mediator for the Q21/Museumsquartier Wien, and is in charge of cooperative interdisciplinary mediation formats of the Museum Moderner Kunst Stiftung Ludwig Wien in cooperation with the mathematics forum "TU ForMath" of the Vienna University of Technology, as well as in cooperation with the Institute for High Energy Physics (HEPHY) of the Austrian Academy of Sciences.
