Anna Töller is a freelance choral conductor, vocal and instrumental pedagogue, and speaker of various seminars and workshops. In the winter semester of 2018, she began teaching at the Orff Institute, where she was appointed Professor of Music in Elemental Music and Dance Education in 2019.
Anna Töller studied choral conducting with Prof. Karl Kamper, singing pedagogy with Prof. Maria Anna Schartner as well as music and dance pedagogy at the Mozarteum University. She completed all her studies with honors. From 2009 to 2011, while she was still a student, she conducted what is now the Salzburg Mozart Choir. Anna Töller was the recipient of an Austrian state grant and a grant from the German Carl Orff Foundation. In 2011 she was awarded the Bernhard Paumgartner Medal by the International Mozarteum Foundation. Also in 2011, she was engaged as a choir director at the Theater Vorpommern. At the beginning of 2014 she moved to the Theater Heidelberg in the same position. This time was characterized by working with well-known directors and conductors (including Peter Konwitschny, Nanine Linning, Lydia Steier, Mario Venzago). In addition, she was responsible for the choral rehearsals for several world premieres and German premieres (including "Abends am Fluss" and "Hochwasser - two suitcases in the basement" by Johannes Harneit, "Rumor" by Christian Jost). In 2014 she was nominated by the magazine Opernwelt in the category "Best Choir of the Year" for her rehearsal of R. Wagner's "Lohengrin" at the Theater Vorpommern.
