Larissa Weigend supports the team of the main research area Salzburg Music History at the Department of Musicology at the Mozarteum University as a university assistant. As an independent speaker and passionate singer, she devotes herself with great enthusiasm to voice acting, music theater, dance and languages.

Larissa Weigend completed her master's degree in Performative and Intermedial Music and Dance Studies at Paris Lodron University Salzburg in 2019. Her fascination with the connection between artistic practice and scholarship led her to work on her master's thesis "Between the Spheres: Concepts of Modernity in the Context of Popular Musical Theatre on Broadway from an Acting Theory Perspective Using the Example of 'Play with Songs' Johnny Johnson (1936)" to New York City, where she became involved with the collaboration between the former acting collective The Group Theatre and composer Kurt Weill. During her undergraduate studies, she served as a student assistant in the Department of Music and Dance Studies.
