Anastasia Weinberger was born in Salzburg and grew up near the Traunsee. She studied business administration at the University of Business and Economics in Vienna and at the Johannes Kepler University in Linz where she completed her studies in 2001 with a final year dissertation entitled Iron in the Province of Salzburg.

After her studies she gained professional experience from 2001 to 2005 working as an assistant comptroller for Ernst & Young in Salzburg; in 2006 she was sworn in as an accountant.

From 2005 to 2009 Anastasia Weinberger was head of the financial department of the Intersport Austria Group in Wels.  In 2009 she moved to the European logistics company LKW Augustin in Strasswalchen as business manager where she was considerably involved in sales management.


From 2010 to 2017 she gained a great variety of experience in interim management and company restructuring, for instance in the ArcelorMittal Steel Company in Traun and Ansfelden, in the sphere of business efficiency at Johnson Controls in Portsmouth and Bratislava, with Experis in Vienna, the car supplier Megatech Industries in the Czech Republic, at the AKAD University in Stuttgart acquired by the Private Equity Fund Aurelius, and with the Karl Bachl Limited Company, manufacturer in Bavaria of building and insulating materials.

From November 2017 Anastasia Weinberger was advisor to the Universität Mozarteum Salzburg, where since 1 April 2018 she has been appointed to implement her experience as Deputy Vice-Chancellor for resources.
