Tatjana Meyer was born in East Kazakhstan. She started playing piano at the age of six. When she was twelve years old she took the first prize at the XXVIth Republic Kazakhstan Piano Competition. She studied piano solo, piano teaching, piano accompanying and chamber music at the Ural State Conservatory in Yekaterinburg (Russian Federation), where she graduated with honours in 2002. Besides numerous regional piano competitions, she is a laureate of the IBLA Grand Prize International Piano Competition in Italy (2000) and the International Competition “Flame” in Paris (2006). In 2006 she graduated from the University Mozarteum in Salzburg with honours and received her PhD in 2010. For some years now Tatjana Meyer has been working as a vocal coach in the private studio of Grace Bumbry and as a vocal accompanist at the Miami School Program in Salzburg. She has also performed in public as a pianist, accompanist and chamber soloist in Austria, Germany, Italy, Slovenia, Switzerland, UK, Russian Federation, Kazakhstan and China. In 2006 she played the concerto for piano and orchestra KV 482 by Mozart with the Munich symphony orchestra. In the following year she performed a concert at the Casa Paganini in Genoa (Italy). In 2008 she was a part of the Biennale festival in Salzburg, and in 2011 of the Truro 3 Arts Festival in Cornwall (UK). In 2015 she appeared as a pianist at the music Festival in Padua (Italy) and performed a solo concert in Vienna as a part of “Kazakh Pearls”.
